In the evening of May 25, a significant explosion took place in the region of Russian-occupied Berdyansk, located in the Zaporozhye region. This incident was brought to light by the Telegram channel "Berdyansk Syogodni/Berdyansk Now." Ukrainian military journalist and 1 + 1 correspondent, Andriy Tsaplienko, shared on Telegram that the explosion occurred on the outskirts of Berdyansk and shared a video showing the subsequent fire.

Later in the night, the Berdyansk city military administration announced that the event was attributed to "a very successful operation carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine." It is worth mentioning that following the full-scale attack on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Russian forces occupied parts of the Zaporozhye region, including major cities like Berdyansk and Melitopol.

According to the post, the occupiers failed to detect the presence of S-300 anti-aircraft missile launchers.
